CONVENTION, SIGNINGS (and other...) UPDATES:

I AM NOMINATED ON THE BALLOT FOR 2WO FANDOM AWARDS! Check out the link up top to vote!
"HEAVEN FORBID" is nominated for "BEST NEW WEB COMIC!" and I think we've really got a chance! So, let's go for it, crazy gooders! You can vote once per computer (ip address, i'm guessing!). I cannot express how much it means to me that many people nominated me many times. Seriously! We're almost there! I also can't explain how much (maybe too much...) I would like this award! Since it is for new webcomics, mine has been around just under a year, and has been done with consistency, and some people would say quality, I really think I've got a chance- so try that much harder to vote and to tell your friends. This is an award of the fans, so if I win, WE ALL WIN! I thank you all so much!

My Graphic Horror: Dracula that i did with Rod Espinosa is also nominated for Best Comic Not Distributed by Diamond Comics Distributers! So make sure to vote for us for that, too!

People have been asking me who to vote for in the other categories, too. I would say that i can't speak for every category, but for "Comic to Have on a Desert Island" and "Most Sublime Art" vote for Mike Allred's Madman Atomic Comics. Mike does top notch work, with a meaning behind it, and has been more than kind to me in every contact I've ever had with him!

Also- I will be a guest at Comicpalooza in Houston on March 26-28! It really sounds to be a great Con- much more than a typical comic convention- they've even got NASA as a sponsor and there should be real live Astronauts there! Only in Houston, right? Do everything you can to be there! I also WILL have some limited editions of my new book (see below)! It should be great!

FYI: I will not have a table at STAPLE. But I will be attending this year, so maybe I'll see you around? I'll probably have some fliers somewhere...

I didn't think I would be, but i will be at WONDERCON for like one day. Turns out i'll already be in San Francisco to visit familiy for Easter and since it is the same weekend, I can't pass it up! I will (unless they sell out at comicpalooza) have advance copies of Heaven Forbid vol 1 available at the Christian Comics Arts Society booth, where i'll be doing at least one signing, drawing sketches, etc. So all my California people, I'll see you there!

I presently have no Free Comic Book Day plans scheduled, if you know of a cool event in TX, let me know- and I'll get out there! Or maybe I'll just stay in San Antonio. For the past couple years, I've been in other cities.

It looks like i will be at AKON, after not being there last year.

I will be at Comic Con San Diego- more details to come.

I'm on the finishing touches of my first Heaven Forbid Graphic Novel. I've been speaking seriously with a few different publihsers, especially about distrobution and book formats- but hopefully i'll have at least one official announcement soon. Once they're out, my plan is to do plenty of signings and stuff in stores to get it to people!

I've also got another writing gig for a totally Christian super hero in the works, more details on that, as they come. I'm excited about it, though. I love writing for other artists! The picture of their logo has a link to their site.

HEAVEN FORBID JUST HIT UP STRIP #100! How about that, gangstars? This is the longest sequential series I've done on my own so far! I've also added the new convenient ARCHIVE LINKS with which you can go directly to the beginning of different story lines! It's right below the comics themselves! I could have a fancier site, but my purpose here is to get you comics in a basic non confusing way- and so far, i haven't even needed adds to clutter it up! Let's keep it that way!

Did you know that I'm going to online seminary right now, too? I am! Check out the image above for a neat sketch on salvation (soteriology), in connection to the course! Share it with your friends, too! I'm also working on a project that will be mixing narrative and soteriology. Not sure exaclty what the end project will be- but I'm sure I'll have something to show for it here!

Older news... I'm starting to list some art on ebay- check that out. I drew a version of this year's marvel calendar- each picture, in cartoony crayons. Check it out! HERE! (that one ended, but continue to check out auctions from "eowyn447" for my art and other auctions from me and my wife...)

Well I didn't get to mention it (on here- tho i did on facebook and twitter- def. follow me on those!), but i went out to Eckman's comic show in Live Oak, TX last saturday, and it was amazing. Seriously. The attendees were more than generous in their purchases and i got to sketch tons of great pictures for kids, too! I had a great time! Thanks to all who came out. There will be another one in April!

As you may know, Diamond Comics Distributors is shipping almost no comics on the last Wednesday of this year, (12/30/09) and some indie comics people are doing something about it! Check it out, gangstars! I'll be doing a book signing at the Mile High Comics Lakewood store, Wednesday December 30th from 2-4 pm! So if you're in the Denver area, come celebrate your New Years with me and Captain Woodchuck! I'll have a limited edition minicomic just for that day, too- on top of my current stock of graphic movels and mini comics, as well as stuff MHC have in stock.

Address=
98 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood Colorado

APE was awesome! This is a con that is not only about comics (instead of movies and tv channels that have not to do with comics) but is about indie comics! Not that there weren't also some great publishers there, but the real "stars" here are comics creators. If you can ever go to APE, do it! I got to meet lots of great people in a smaller setting- hopefully I'll keep in touch with them, too.
Especially check out:
Semantink Publishing
Geek Tragedy- an awesome Podcast site who interviewed me- i'll have a link when that's available! Hooray! My new HORROR GRAPHIC NOVELS are out!

This includes the brand new Dracula (art by Rod Espinosa- who also did my Midsummer Night's Dream art...) and the Picture of Dorian Gray (art by Chris Allen)- you can find them for sale on my amazon.com page or tons of other sites- seriously, I've googled them and it's crazy how many sites sell them. Literally, insane!

everything here is copyright dan conner don't use it anywhere except for promotion or review, but feel free to pass it on to friends blah blah blah as if you'd actually do that, anyway!
